sunday school and other children’s ministry activities are returning to mbppc
After a hiatus that began with the Coronavirus pandemic, Children’s ministry activities are set to return on Sunday mornings. To kick things off, we will resume Sunday school lessons on second Sundays each month, beginning on March 10. After the message to the children in worship, children ages 3-5th grade will be invited to join in a Bible lesson in Fellowship Hall. After the lesson, they will return in time to participate in Communion. Plans are in the works to add a singing activity and a craft activity on additional Sundays — stay tuned!
pentecost — the celebration of the gift of the HOly spirt and the birth of the church — sunday, May 19
The Day of Pentecost is a festival day, celebrating Christ’s gift of the Holy Spirit to the Church and all its members. To celebrate this gift, we at MBPPC wear red, process into the sanctuary singing “Every Time I Feel the Spirit”, and marvel at the truth that the same Spirit who brooded over the waters at Creation, and led Jesus in his life and ministry, moves and lives in us. Come join the celebration on Sunday, May 19, at 10:30 a.m.!
congregational meeting set for sunday, may 19 — Election of elders to serve on church session (board)
The Session (board) of MBPPC has set a congregational meeting for Sunday, May 19, immediately after worship, in Fellowship Hall. This meeting will comprise electing Ruling Elders to serve on the church Session. Nominees will be presented by the Nominating Committee elected in January. In addition, any member of the congregation can nominate another member during the meeting, as long as the two have agreed to this ahead of time.
