CHILDREN’S MINISTRY

We describe our ministry with children as mentoring. Our goal is to fulfill the baptismal vow to raise children to know Christ, to love him and to serve him.  Our hope is that children in the congregation will experience themselves as fully a part of the worshipping community through a variety of experiences:

•   Brief, age-appropriate, reflections on the Scripture reading every Sunday in worship.
•   A Children’s Mentoring time during worship, in which adult mentors offer children a weekly lesson.
•   Opportunities to help lead worship through prayer, Scripture reading, greeting, taking the offering, and assisting in serving Communion.
•   Children and their families can provide supplies for the True Hope Tiny House Village. Older children and teens can help prepare dinner at Operation Nightwatch once a month (see the Service tab on our menu).

At MBPPC, children are not the future of the church, they ARE the church!
