In March, 2021, the Session authorized a ministry team to coordinate donations to the True Hope Tiny House Village located at 17th Avenue and Yesler St. This transitional housing site is a joint ministry of the True Vine of Holiness Missionary Baptist Church and the New Hope Baptist Church. MBPPC collects items for Move-in Kits that fulfill basic household needs, such as cleaning supplies and kitchenware.
We have delivered “Move-in Kits” and we continue to gather requests for the Village. Email Ellen McLain for more information about how to participate in this ministry. This village is managed through the Low Income Housing Institute (LIHI); learn more about True Hope village here. MBPPC is partnering with True Hope to support new residents to this community.
