The first and best interpreter of Scripture is Scripture. With the in mind, read Luke 12:13-21. Then read Matthew 6:33. How do these two teachings order your priorities in life?
It is easy to assume that “life as usual” is a given. The pandemic has served to divest us of this assumption. What has the pandemic taught you about the impermanence of life, and the realm of God (i.e. “the kingdom of God” in Matthew 6:33)?
Try this exercise: as you go through your day, ask yourself, “What do I truly need in this moment?"
