Looking ahead through the summer months

Thank you to the MBPPC Session members, and everyone who made our Pentecost Appreciation Sunday an inspiring time. I am always amused and grateful to watch the pews empty out as we call forward people who have been the leaders and drivers of our various ministries and mission work. Truly, we are the body of Christ as we share the ministry together.

Looking ahead through the summer months, here is my preaching schedule:

June 22 — a rerun of my first sermon as pastor at MBPPC, “First Things”, based on Luke 14-25-33

June 29 - July 20 — a series of sermons based on my favorite passages from each of the four Gospels

July 27 — Keith Tanis will preach as I take a Sunday off

August 3 — September 7 — sermons from my favorite passages in the Bible

Sunday, September 7, will be my last Sunday in the pulpit. I will preach on a single verse, John 8:32. My sermon title will be “I Love Truth”.
