an inspiring bright spot during challenging times

I hope everyone enjoyed Easter Sunday as much as I did, and that it was an inspiring bright spot during challenging times.

My thanks goes out to the choir, our Director, Tim Beggs, and the musicians who provided powerful and varied music; to Linda Westbrook, Sheryl Hudson, Ellen McLain, Renna Frakes, and our young helpers who made the egg hunt fun for the children; to Kristin and Bob Calaff for providing a very well-attended coffee hour; to Linda and Wellington Westbrook for reviving the traditional daffodil cross; to Kat Smaga for leading a children’s activity; and to Susan Daggett and Jim mcConville for making sure the gardens and grounds looked spectacular.

Looking ahead to spring and the first part of summer, here are a few upcoming events:

May 18 — a congregational meeting to elect new elders to lead on the church session (church board);

June 8 — the Day of Pentecost (wear red!) and our annual Appreciation Sunday for all who serve at MBPPC;

June 15 — the last day for our choir to sing in worship before taking a summer break.

May 4 - June 1 — I will be preaching a series of sermons on the theme “The Law of Love”.

In Christ,

Lee
